Moving is so much work! I lost 6 lbs (seriously need to lose a lot more, so that is really good) in the last 2 weeks from all of the activity. Haven't been on RS much and missed you guys!
This morning I managed to fall down the stairs. They are carpeted with thick carpeting and slippery and I went right down. Got a nice carpet burn on my arm and my foot hit the wood paneling on the side as I was going down, so I ripped my foot up, but I didn't break anything so I consider that a win! :0) Today I am taping them (the stairs, not my feet) so they will be a bit safer. Other than that dangerous little bit, we are loving the new place. It's a beautiful 106 year old house in a terrific neighborhood near practically everything. I won't need to drive much anymore.
On my way to take middle daughter to bus stop I saw this written on the crosswalk line, "I dare you to see how beautiful you truly are!" It is alot of work getting all moved & settled in but just take your time & enjoy all the newness. ;)
I moved 2 yrs. ago & altho *I* eagerly settled in just fine, all my stuff is still being settled & rearranged as I find I prefer this or that somewhere else, changing or painting things, do/don't need this/that, etc., kwim? But I know this for sure - they're going to have to carry me out of here in a body bag cuz I'm NEVER moving again! LOLOL
Fact of life: After Monday and Tuesday..even the CALENDAR says...
