Ok -- so I don't get everything for free at CVS all the time, but I Think I did pretty good.

picked up:

2 16 roll double packs of Charmin 9.99 each ($1.00 off and .25 off coupon)
1 8 pack of brawny papertowels 6.99 (no coupon - ouch!)
1 Free pack of Candy Corn (a .99 off coupon printed out to get it free)
1 Dawn Dish Soap - free after coupon

Use a Gift Card I had left over about $5... and paid about $22 out of pocket... Rec'd a 10 Extra Care Buck good on any purchase.

Loaded my car, went back in and got

10 - 2 liter bottles of Pepsi
5 - 2 Liter Bottles of Diet Pepsi

Total after coupon and my $10 extra buck was just under $5 and I have a $5 extra care buck to use on my next visit! Can't wait until they get my toothbrushes in for my raincheck!

So for $27 I got 36 double rolls of tp, 8 rolls of papertowels, 1 Candy Corn, 1 Dish Soap and 15 bottles of soda. We haven't been buying soda often, but hubby loves it and has been picking them up regular price every now and then.

I also went to K-mart today. Was looking for the Cooking Mama Nintendo DS Game for my daughter for xmas. I've been trolling ebay and every other site trying to see the cheapest I could find it.... TRU was $19.99, Walmart was $16.97... well, k-mart had it for $14.99! Since this is a MUST on her xmas list... I went with this price -- which is about what I could have gotten a used one for on Ebay.

Then I went by the clearance toys and couldn't believe I saw a sign for 50% off all clearance toys!

I picked up
Stars Wars General Grievous's Ship -- original price $29.99, but it was on clearance for $22 and I got it for $11! My son is big into Star Wars Suddenly.
A star wars figure (don't know the name) $8.99 reg. price, marked down to $6, on clearance for $3!
3 K'nex cars that you can build... I think these usually run like $5.99 - $7.99 each -- they were $3.50 each marked down to only $1.75 -- my son loves any kind of building stuff like legos, etc. -- got 3 different ones -- now I just need to find the red one -- if I can get that one they can all be combined to make one big truck.

Several more xmas presents out of the way! But I hate that I keep finding these great deals when I'm broke! Now I can't go looking for other pieces at the other stores in town! BLAH! Got to go work on EBAY a little! I really wanted to get my daughter the Pixos machine! It was on clearance for $22 so half price would be $11 and TRU had the refills on sale for $2.90 with an additional 25% off! That would have been a great deal. My daughter really wants fuse beads, but I think she would love the Pixos machine instead!

Laurie

but we always get stuff for the kids. I just have a very small budget this year. So the sales are really helping me! The kids will get alot, but it will only be stuff I purchased on sale for like 75% off... and they may not get exactly what they ask for... I can still get away with that at this age!

Laurie 3|1|Ok... so I rolled my $5 CVS bucks into $6.99 more! So the deal keeps getting better!|jdlaurie|savethosepennies@aol.com|21:01:15|10/12/2010|

I picked up 4 packages of Quaker instant oatmeal packages, a colgate toothpaste, some vapor rub (.40 on clearance) and kids cold medicine (.50 on clearance)... used my $5.00 ECB and out printed another $6.99 in bucks.... waiting to see what's on sale next week and see how far I can roll this thing!

cvs also but it seems like at many stores if something is not on sale it's way to much i needed crackers was at cvs paid 3.69 for saltine crackers needed them that moment you know tomato soup without crackers a no go it seems like many stores make up for sale prices by charging more for stuff anyway good job you did 5|2|I've noticed that too! But...|jdlaurie|savethosepennies@aol.com|23:51:01|10/12/2010|

I really only get the stuff free unless it's a really good deal and I need the items. The items I started out with I actually needed and after coupons and bucks, it was less than it would have been in the store.... and I'm trying to only buy what I can really use which is hard, but I really don't want a bunch of stuff I can't use cluttering up my already cluttered house.

I switched from doing CVS every week to doing Publix deals since it was for food and items I could use more. There is only so much deodorant and shampoo I can keep on my shelves in the house. Surprisingly enough I have held off on the razors and items and now I need to start watching for the deals again... it took us about a year to use what I had stockpiled:0-)

Thanks.
Laurie
