I usually boil them for a while to get some of the fat off and then cut them into pieces ( run some cold water over them or hold them with a paper towel). You can see how well cooked they are at that point. Put them in a fry pan and then add peppers, mushrooms, stewed tomatoes or tomato sauce, red wine ----any combination of things like that and season with Italian seasoning, salt pepper. Cook until the vegetables are done and there is no sign of pink in the sausages. I usually serve the whole thing over rice. It is fast, easy and tasty. Even better the next day.
