For those of you who don't know, I teach part-time at a local university, supplementing my income with refunding, couponing, etc.
So, right in the middle of class while I am up front teaching, my boss walks in and says "I'd like to see you in my office when you are 'in between' things" ... meaning in between classes.
For the rest of the class I kept thinking "What did I do?" It was a long miserable wait until class was over since my kids LOVE my class and making their personal teacher webpage and they always stay late ... which I do appreciate, but not today! UGH!
Anyway, after class I walked in to see what was up.
My boss said he had asked a favor of admin for me and hoped it was ok. Not sure what he meant, I kept listening.
He went on to tell me that he told admin that I would do it, so he was hoping I would agree.
Agree to what? ... still not understanding what me meant.
Agree to having a FULL TIME JOB AS EDUCATION FACULTY starting January! I almost fainted, then almost cried.
I have been going to school for five years working on my PhD and never thought today would happen.
OK it's just full time for the rest of the school year (January through June), but he hopes that it will be permanent full time once I graduate with my doctorate in June!
I JUST HAD TO SHARE THE GOOD NEWS WITH ALL MY REFUNDING BUDDIES!
