I feel like I found some really great deals the last couple days. Trying to spend a lot less on xmas and for everyday things, so I've been holding out for the really great deals! I had to share because someone else might see a deal they can find by them

Went to CVS and got:
2 Always Pads
1 Tampax Tampons
1 Tide HE Detergent
1 Energizer 10 pack AAA batteries
1 Gillette Razors 4 pack
1 Iron Man 2 Movie

Total after coupons and a $1.50 extra buck was only $12.00! The Dvd along is $19.99, but if you bought $25 worth of P&G Items the DVD was $15 off! Oh and my sons behavioral therapist suggested I pick up a electric toothbrush for my son because he hates to brush his teeth and they are easier and more effective and I was able to get a raincheck to get the Oral B Vitality Toothbrushes for $13 (On sale for $23 with $10 extrabucks)and I have a $10 coupon! And he gave me the raincheck for two! Hubby has been wanting one for xmas too! So that will get me two of them for $3 each! Yipee!

Went to K-mart and found:
several $1.99 shirts and matching $2.99 skorts for my daughter -little girl size 7/8
1 Nintendo DS game I had been looking for that was $19.99 at TRU for $14.99 at Kmart! (xmas present for my daughter -- a girlie game she really really will like!)
2 Plus size v-neck t-shirts for me (1x)$1.99 each
1 Long Sleeve Jonas Brothers Hoodie Shirt $1.29
1 Boys GI Joe T-shirt (xmas present) $2.99

they had tons of clothes for $1.99 - $2.99 -- all of their clearance was on sale this cheap!

Target:
3 Cute Little Girls 7/8 T-shirts - $1.74 each (Xmas presents)
1 Matching Skort 7/8. $3.48 (xmas Present)
1 - 3 pack of Fruit of the Loom Boxers $2.64 (xmas present)
1 - 7 pack of shorty socks by Hanes $2.28 after coupon on front (xmas present)
1 Boys T-shirt with football theme $1.75 (xmas present)
1 Pair of Girls Twill Capri Pants $3.24 -- gave to my daughter now -- she had to try it on when I got home

Yup -- you guessed it! This year there are going to be alot of necessities like clothing and socks under the tree. These are the gifts that will make it look like they got more Only getting things I know they will love too!

Goodwill:
1 Brand New in the package 50's girl poodle skirt costume that my daughter wanted for halloween $9.97 (spent over $30 on her costume last year and she hated it! At least she likes this one!)
1 like new Pair of Nine West Black Shoes for me $4.99 -- All the new ones I bought recently have fallen apart and I have a hard time finding shoes that fit. The ones I have now will be busted by Monday or Tuesday -- only a thread holding them together right now and I was dreading spending alot of shoes. This will by me some time finding a new pair!

Publix:
Picked up a bunch of groceries tonight. Saved $101.40 and spent $83.85 -- but before I had gone to the grocery store I noticed a rebate that gives you a $15 prepaid card when you buy 2 - budweiser 12 packs and $20 in prepared deli items -- hubby had bought prepared sandwiches the other night and it came to just over $20! So I spent $20 on beer (something we rarely buy) and I'm getting $15 back from the $83.85! Got a bunch of stuff we needed on sale too

And I Just heard back from a friend, she knows someone who owes her a favor and can get me a Pink Nintendo DSI or DSI XL for $80 instead of $149 - $169. Just heard back from her that she has it in hand! So my daughters big anchor gift for xmas is done!

I think I've done pretty good cutting my expenses and preparing ahead. Things have been really tough financially, so we are watching every penny! My sons surgery is going to cost us $350 out of pocket this month and we'll be making payments on the balance for the next 6 months! Figures because we are just getting done paying the dentist which took months!

1|1|Holy cow, Laurie, you did amazing!! I love, love, love great finds like the Nine West shoes at the second hand stores....but I mostly find things for my boys (AE, Ambercrombie, Hollister), not myself! LOL Your head start on Cmas is terrific, glad you snagged that DSI for your dtr, she'll be sooo thrilled! :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|22:23:32|10/02/2010|

" You'll get what's coming to you ... Unless it was mailed."

2|2|I hardly ever find stuff for myself! Get lucky every now and then:-)|jdlaurie|savethosepennies@aol.com|22:47:54|10/02/2010|

But I do find a lot of clothes and toys and stuff for the kids. Since I have little ones, most of it's .99 each! I love when I find the brand new stuff with tags for them so cheap. I always find the kids collar knit shirts (they have to wear solid ones) and shorts for school there too! It's harder to find the girls clothes than the boys... I can always find tons of stuff for Steven and I'm picky... I won't buy anything stained or that looks worn. It has to look new. Since I live in such a wealthy town it is so easy to find the really good brands so cheap! I just go often because you never know when they will add more stuff

I love bargain shopping! Just wish I had more money to shop more often LOL

He even thinks it's worth checking it out! The ad says $1.99 today... so I think everything has dropped from $2.99 to $1.99 today Can't wait! I even had a coupon print for $10 off any gaming item yesterday, so I'm going to go back and look at the rest of the nintendo Ds games. They had a bunch for $14.99 each, so if I can get another one for $5 it will make a great xmas gift to add to my son or daughters list!
