19|1|Just got home a bit ago. Mom is doing fine and bossing everyone around and getting her way and so the hospital staff lets her think ;) She got three screws in her femur and into the hip. Super small incision. The thing they are worried about is that her bones are a bit soft, so if she falls again, the screws might just go right through the hip joint and then she would need a partial hip replacement.|Ranalt|ainebailey@gmail.com|18:24:24|10/02/2010|
Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. She comes home Monday and Physical Therapy will be coming to the house to do her treatments.
Ms Independent is going to be a little dependent for the next 6 weeks.

26|4|The weight bearing is why I was hoping they'd do an ORIF....full weight bearing is fine after that procedure (weight bearing as tolerated is how it's ordered, but if they can tolerate the full weight bearing, that's ok too)....seems to speed up their progress a bit.
