9 0|0|I have a MESS!!! Can anyone help me on this one? :)|imlovinjack4ever|apomsmom@yahoo.com|10:34:03|09/29/2010|
I LOVE my grandson .... BUT ... Oh my god!!! This is a kodak moment (not, lol)
Well he was suppose to be sleeping (and i thought he was) .... But .... He got into the nursery jelly (like vaseline) and decided to bathe himself, his clothes, the carpet, door, wall, toys and a very furry pomeranian stuffed animal!!!! Does anyone have any ideas on how i can get this mess out and get it cleaned??? I am desperate and i mean this stuff is like 2 inches deep. It was a brand new bottle (a big one) and he has completely emptied it. I have bathed his hair in cornstarch 5 times and it still has a slighty greasy feel :(
Thanks any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you are really having a day! Hang in there!
If he got it on any furniture/fabrics, read this:
http://en.allexperts.com/q/Cleaning-2305/2008/3/stain-couc.htm
That talks specifically about a couch but since that is an oily product you will want to be careful cleaning anything like the stuffed dog you mention. Sounds like you have to blot it out? Don't put anything like that in your dryer afterward, just hang it up to dry.
He will grow up fast! You already know that, but it might be a good thing to hear today! :0) 3|1|Oh my gosh, situations like this you dont know whether to laugh or cry! :P I dont have any solutions to add to those already posted, but wanted to say I wont complain so much about my mess late last night (long story short, my sheltie had cuts on both his front paws, then proceeded to track blood allll over the house at 10pm last night!)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|11:19:45|09/29/2010|

And I dont mean light little smears of blood either....I'm talking saturated puddles! Oy vay.....my sons and I tended to the dog, then the carpets....an hour or so later, we all finally fell into bed....
But at least I had help to clean up, and it was blood not vaseline! I'll count my blessings! I hope you can get it all out, I'd tackle the furniture, carpets, walls first.....then if you have the energy, the toys and stuff like that.
Cuz if it was me, I'd be pitching the toys after cleaning up the other first, lol.

6|1|reminds me of the time my son got into baby powder....he powdered each of his 30+ stuffed animals.....his bedroom looked like a winter blizzard. At least I was able to vacumn the mess...so it was a much easier job than what you're dealing with|cathy|coggle@hotmail.com|12:36:01|09/29/2010|

The baby oil worked wonders on his hair and to my surprise it didnt make it oiler .. i just shampoo'd his hair 3 times after using it just to make sure. I used a butter knife and scraped the excess out of the carpet and used a iron and paper towels to get up what i could and then used carpet shampoo ... its probably the cleanest it ever has been and ever will be ..lol
His bed is plastic so dawn dish soap worked its magic on that .... well the toy>? I threw them out!!! Luckily it was only 4
Here are some pics that use can enjoy at my expense .. LOL ... http://s662.photobucket.com/albums/uu348/apomsmom/Vaseline%20Fun/
Have a great night and thanks!
