plmk 4|3|I did the best when I'd sell 'lots'...like large baggies full of scrapbook stuff rather than trying to sell each item seperately....I sold my boys PS2 slimline console, 27 games, 3 controllers, and Guitar Hero stuff (drums and two guitars) as a 'lot', it went in minutes! I couldn't even imagine how awesome a garage sale at your house would be :) You always have such nice things! I always have at least one giant sale at my Mom's house every year and my husband does the same thing! He leaves at noon to come home and take out the dog which should take 20 minutes max and he's always gone at least an hour, grrrr. We did pretty good we did have a big crowd in the morning then late afternoon Saved all the good things for all my friends here for my goodie boxes lol

We had a yardsale/garage sale last week and it went over great.
Hubby wasn't going to be home so, he wants to make sure I didn't get mugged or lost a kid or two. lol
We have two long tables side by side blocking our driveway. I had each item that I was selling taped down w/a price on it. Each person had to tell me how many of each item they wanted. My children were behind me running in and out of the garage (It looked like the Shop Rite in there)I did 1 order at a time and asked for a bag from on of the kids only when the person paid for the items. I had a fanny bag wrapped around my waist at all times w/several dollars 1 $10 and 1 $20. I checked my money from time to time and gave everything to Carissa (my oldest) to bring upstairs through the garage. Hubby's plan or I wouldn't be having a sale. lol ((Just keeping us all safe))
I did get a couple of loonies... A person wanted to sample all of my powerades before they bought them . I was like,"Excuse me?" lol
My son was cracking up and I had to send him inside the garage.
****Oh, I also kept a book on the table and asked people to sign their names & e:mail addy's or phone number and I told them that I would let them know what I had in the future.
Several people on my block did a sale too and most had items unaccounted for.. 
Not me though...... Hubby's plan... I'm very gullible and they would probably have a field day w/me
