I've been keeping my eye out because this xmas things are going to be really really tight. There is nothing left right now at the end of the month, so I'm trying to do my bargain shopping. Figured if I start early I might find some deals. I'm pretty excited. So far I have found:
CVS:
2 ATM Banks (reg. $19.99 on sale for $5.00!) -- these are banks that are shaped like ATMS, have a debit card and a pin number you use to take out money. Keeps track of how much you put in as well. I thought this would be great for the kids to learn that you have to save money BEFORE you can take it out of the bank with the Card. They keep telling me to just use my card to buy stuff!
1 Metal Detector (reg. $19.99 on sale for $5.00)-- the cashier at the store said he got his son one and they actually find stuff with it that he takes down to the pawn shop and gets money for the stuff! We live near the beach, but my son hates the salt water so won't go in. I thought this would be something fun for him to do instead.
1 LARGE remote control (reg. $9.99 on sale for $3.25) -- my son is always losing his remote! This one is HUGE! Thought it would be a good stocking stuffer.
2 Beach Towels for little girls (reg. $8.99 marked down to $2.49) -- on my daughters xmas list! She claims my towels are too old and not soft enough!
2 pairs of flip flops for stocking stuffers! (reg. $4.99 marked down to $1.25) -- we live in Flip Flops year round here! Gotta love Florida
Toys R Us:
1 Sorry Game -- on sale for $7.99 with a coupon for $4.00 -- only $3.99 for a game that was on my daughters list!
Target:
1 Connect 4 game - on sale for $9.00 with a coupon for $4.00 -- only $5 -- again... on her list!
1 Operation game - on sale for $9.00 with a coupon for $4.00 - only $5 -- on the list!
1 Nintendo DS Game - Build a Bear -- $4.98 --- she has this on her list too!
1 Nintendo DS Game - Escape the Museum - $13.98 - a little more... but my son LOVES escape games online... he's going to love this game!
1 pack of Peace sign socks -- $2.98 -- my daugher is a peace sign nut!
I'm so excited... I think this is a great start for xmas already! I have saved so much already! A friend is going to try and get me a DS really cheap from someone... so my daughter will only get a few more small things this year. Not so sure what to do about the rest of my sons gifts.... but if I keep looking, I'll find something!
