I've never played with puff pastry before but I wanted to try making a pizza with it. So I thawed the dough, rolled it out a bit, pressed herbs into the dough, then topped it with fresh ricotta, spinach, tomato, mozzarella and parmesan. It turned out gorgeous, with a flaky golden crust and perfectly melted cheese. This is such a brilliant way to make pizza at home. I was so excited I had to share! :) 7|2|That sounds amazing! I have always wanted to try some stuff with the puff pastry too, never did get around to it, but THIS I could do and the whole family would eat! YUM!|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|17:22:33|09/18/2010|

I'd try it with pepperoni and chopped bell peppers next. I baked mine at 400 until golden...you could set a timer for 15 minutes and just come back to check until done. Another thing to do is roll the dough a bit, put your toppers in the middle of the dough and fold over like a calzone... I'm guessing that would be incredible too. And think of the options! You could make a breakfast calzone with bacon, scrambled eggs and cheese! Wow I'm getting hungry again!! 20|4|I keep envisioning something like a rustic pizza....with the edges kinda folded in.....oh my gosh, I have to try this....have to get over my fear of puff pastry!
