One thing is true, each of us can remember exactly what we were doing when we heard of this horrific event.
Living on a military base and assuming we were under attack. Myself and all of my neighbors took our kids out of school early, each of us praying and glued to the TV. My husband was due to come home from deployment that day but called to let us know his ship (The Roosevelt) was headed to NY. My now 21yo cried like a baby...I have since never let the kids know when dad was coming home...it has always been a surprise. I prayed to God for the victims and their families daily, CONTINUALLY through the day, almost as if I was talking to myself. I was concerned for my husband and his ship mates but for some reason not as much as those who were missing. Each found person bought rejoicing from my soul and I kept hope for each new found person. I prayed each day even as several days passed that more would be found. I also remember feeling horrible for our president, I remember when he got the whisper in his ear while on stage..I cant imagine having his job at that moment.

it looked like something out of a movie. I remember Matt or Katie saying right before the first plane hit its a beautiful day in NY not a cloud in the sky, then they got the news of the first plane and thought it was a accident and was showing the twin towers when the second one hit, so unreal how can such horrible people be in this world to kill all those innocent people.It was so sad to see people looking for their relations and us knowing they were probably already dead it makes me so sad to remember it and angry, Linda 5|1|Beautifully said, Margie....|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|17:37:32|09/11/2010|

for the Bush administration everyday after September 11th was September 12th..
