Just a little Info to help those newbies..and just to remind all of my friends and family on here what WE do.
For the last 3 or 4 years...I started doing "Christmas Kids"....We help our "family & friends" on our board.
You must be an active/current member. WE hope that only those that truly need help sign up. We always have
a lot of kids to help...I know that times are tough..and that's why our "family & friends" on this board pull together
and help out the kiddos. Next month...I will post the Christmas kids application. It's just that. Those that are in need
will fill it out and send back to me. I normally will not post the "friend or family" name because it is hard for some to ask for
help and I don't want anyone feeling bad. BUT You put down your information, username, real name address and the kids information,
I ask lots of questions, name,age, size, likes, dislikes, etc. I then keep a list of all those kids...and I try to match them with "Angels"
Angels contact me with how man, boy/girl, age etc..on which ones they can help with. I give them that information. The shop & ship directly
to that child. I also have "Angels" that donate to me, and I shop & ship directly to the kids. I try to have 2 or 3 Auctions to raise money
for the toys, shipping etc. DURING the auctions... Please join to donate something to help with the auction.... If you donate something
if it your responsibility to ship out in a timely manner. We will try to stick to the $30-35 for each child this year. Some angels to a lot more then just that..
but it's up to them, luckily I have people that can send something extra what they can afford. so sometimes a child will receive from 2 angels if I think it is needed.
Angels give me an idea of what they are sending..to make sure that child is covered. NORMALLY all is great and goes well...I think each year that
I have done this...only 1 child from each year something happened and their ANGEL went missing in action and I'm not sure what happened.
I will post how many kids we have etc...and the needs as they come along. I do sometimes use names... but usually I put something like this.
Girl - Age 4 - Likes Barbies, Stickers, Horses etc... AND Then someone will email me and say, I"ll take the Girl, 4 that likes barbies, stickers, etc..and
I'll cross out her name as being adopted and put beside her name the Angels name.
We have helped out many family and friends on here and WE hope that we can do it again this year.
You can sign up your kids if needed up to the age of 17. I hope this helps!!! I"m long winded this morning!! LOL
I know I have picked up things all year long for this....and I hope that others have too! I love christmas...and I love giving...and I really enjoy doing this..
It is alot of work...and alot of people join this and we have a great time doing it. I love my family, friends and angels on this board... : )
