in Sears... anyone remember when they used to have the Candy & Pretzel's right near the kids clothing section? My mom used to stop there with us all the time. We'd get the jelly slices (somehow they were better back then!) and Hot Pretzels.

If I sat on the bottom of the cart at the grocery store and only got up and got items from the shelf that were on the list or my mother told me to get then I would get a bag of Brachs candy at the checkout for being good and being a good helper. I'd always choose lemon drops, they were my favorite.
Later in life when Squirt gum came out I just LOVED it. Spearmint or Bubble gum were my favorite flavors.
Other than that I never did and still don't eat much candy. But I do still love my gum!

& rock candy, which I don't dare eat anymore w/my aging teeth. LOL It looked like chunks of crystal on a string & the only place I could ever find it tho was at the House on the Rock tourist attraction.
I also loved the wide sticks of saltwater taffy that came wrapped in 2 pieces of waxed paper.
And Joy should understand my weakness for Zero candybars. Can't believe they're even still made, but I'm so glad they are. :)

that had super sweet flavored syrup inside. loved those things. the wax wasn't like gum but it did get the flavor of the syrup inside and you could chew it for a few minutes to get all the flavor out ... oh, to be a kid again!
