lately i have been getting coupons even with the barcodes half cut off cause they are cutting them in big stacks or what not. i hate getting coupons and having to take the time to *clean them up* when they should be done neatly before being sent out to the person.

I have, but NOT here at RS (yet). I take great pride in my coupon trading with everyone I trade with. ALL of my coupons are neatly cut, and I am very careful not to cut off the barcode or date. I take ALL of my trades to my Main Post Office, I DO NOT leave any of my mail outside in my mailbox with the flag up, so any Tom, Dick, or Harry could come along and steal it. I DO NOT drop off my mail at those Shopping Centers Blue Post Office Drop Off Boxes. I go early every day, when I have mail to go out, directly to my Main Office. If the envelope is too thick and I feel it may get jammed in the Post Office Processing Scan Machine, then I will go to the Post Office Customer Service Desk and have the Postal Clerks make sure it goes through okay, so it does NOT get shredded and you will never see the envelope. If I have to pay the additional $0.20 per envelope if the envelope is too thick, I will pay the fee so I know your envelope will be on it's way in one piece.

The coupons I get from Sue are neat and cut nicely so am dealing mostly with her lately.

I trim all my coupons to save on postage and make sure the envelopes are not too thick - I had ordered coupons once and they were just thrown in the envelope in a bunch and I still wonder how they make it here without a plastic body bag. extra stuff in the envie. Over the last couple weeks I have gotten inserts where the bundle strap has cut into the insert and a coupon. I traded the ones that were whole and threw in a couple of the ones with nibbles in them everything that was needed for them to work was there. I would not trade a damaged coupon but usables are good as throw ins.

I don't trim mine down as neatly as I would my own coupons. Why? Because it's not a trade, but rather extra coupon inserts or non-ss coupons that I've saved. I will save postage by getting rid of extra pages of junk and excess paper is trimmed a bit. But that is it. alot of traders are cutting hundreds of coupons and filling lots of orders. If there's excess around the coupon, it's no big deal to me as I leave it up to the person sending. As long as the important stuff on the coupon itself is intact (date, upc code, etc.), I guess it's up to the sender, but I wouldn't want to pay for extra postage if it isn't necessary. Same w/trading upc's - whether I'm the sender or the receiver, as long as the entire upc w/the lines & upc # are intact, & it's current & id'd somehow, I'm ok w/it but wouldn't want to pay extra postage if peeling/trimming them down will help keep postage down.
Fact of life: After Monday and Tuesday..even the CALENDAR says...
