I haven't noticed it here, but I do have to check my receipts carefully. They have the habit of charging me twice for items. I would say it happens at least 1 to 3 x a month.

I had a $2 off coupon WYB 24 cans or something of cat food. The coupon SCANNED at only .40 (the cost of ONE can). In the article, I'd lay odds that Target's price on the Smart Ones was 1.99 and THAT is what it took off. Other stores have machines that prompt them..."Valid coupon amount?" and they have to push an extra button but the customer gets the correct discount.
Meijer's machines also do not accept coupons for $ off 2 items if they have them on sale for BOGOF. You'd have to have 2 items that you are PAYING for to use that coupon. Same deal with their BOGOF deals and trying to use TWO coupons for $ off each one. They will TAKE both coupons---but the second one will scan at zero. I asked for my coupon back and they actually called over the CSM before they'd allow me to have it back...and SHE went to the extreme of voiding OFF the zero coupon before handing it back. She said she didn't want to get in trouble for missing coupons. (yeah for an amount of ZERO!!) That's why I love the way Kroger does BOGOF---they just ring in at half the price each.
