I dont know what to call it or what causes it but it happens periodically and I just had my worst one yet. It starts off with a pain in the sternum area, kinda like a cramp and then it spreads up into my breasts/chest but only as deep as the muscles. It hurst so bad that I cant sit or stand up straight and I cant catch my breath. If I try to stand up straight or lay down it just makes it worse, tonight it even caused me to get sick several times and it was so severe it caused my nose to bleed. Its not as deep as my lungs or anything but the pain itself makes it hard to breath, I do my breathing excercises that I learned when I had asthma as a kid but that doesnt help either. Ive had people tell me its anxiety attacks but it generally happens when Im relaxed. They started about 3 or 4 monthes before my hubby left this last time around, I have them maybe 2 or 3 times a month and then nothing for a month or two so I forget about them until wham, the next one start. So, anyone have any ideas what it might be??

Normally I wouldnt post like I did last night, like I said its happened before, but not as severe and since my DH wasnt here I was kinda scared but didnt want to say anything to DD about it. I just kinda hid in my room till it passed.
I know it doesnt invlove my heart/lungs, well, except for the pain makin it hard to breath which will also make my heart beat faster. I just wasnt sure if it really was some kind of anxiety attack or a cramp or what. So when I go to the dr on Thurs I guess I will mention it to the nurse during the bp/temp/etc part of it and see what she thinks I should do.

6|1|could be gall bladder. i am going thru that now, with some of the same type symptoms. have had thousands of dollars of testing done this summer (ct scans, ultrasounds, upper GI, lower stuff checked, etc) and so far all we have come up with is gall stones. still waiting to hear back from doc as to how we are going to treat it. i got such horrible pains and it too would make be barf, i 'd be so sick. get checked out, please, just for your own peice of mind.....i was so worried for months, and didn't go in........wish i would have gone in much sooner!!|turdra|tammyjoblake@hotmail.com|20:05:57|08/15/2010|
