It's been storming to beat 60 since 7 a.m. this morning w/some major lightning & torrential rains. :( Power went out once but I've seen lightning strike 3 times - don't know what it struck but seen the nasty bolt come down followed immediately by a very loud crack of thunder. Yikes! I hope it didn't hurt anyone or do any major damage but it sure was eerie to see so close. And we sure don't need this rain. :(

When I took my son to work at 11 this morning, the fire depts. & police depts. were out directing traffic cuz the streets were flooding even in town due to an overload in the storm sewers.
We were supposed to have a family gathering tomorrow in the park in the town I grew up in but the park is under water from the flooded creek. Having the gathering then at the hall there which will hopefully remain a safe distance up & away from the flood waters.
Several low-lying towns are even closed off, period, cuz they're flooded. Please pray for the people in those communities. Most of them suffered severe flooding just 2 yrs. ago, some still in the re-building & recovery process from then.
And we're supposed to get more rain/storms tonight yet. :(
