OK, so a few weeks ago I had a Lia Sophia party after bookinng one at my friends party. I invited everyone from work and all my Facebook friends who live near me plus all my family. These parties are multiple hostess parties where they rent out a hall and 3 different advisors host multiple parties at the same time. When I signed up for my party it was for Monday July 19th. My advisor and I had about a dozen e-mails back and forth every e-mail ending with "See you Monday night!" On Sunday at 9:30 PM I get an e-mail from her saying she got the date wrong and the party was actually Tuesday July 20th! I felt like I was going to be sick. I had 2 friends actually take off work so they could attend my party, plus I had to call and e-mail about 20 people telling them the date had changed and apologizing to everyone even though it wasn't my fault. So, luckily I still manage to get 10 people to show up. It would have been about 15-20 if it weren't for the last minute date change. One of my hostess benefits was being able to pick any 4 items from the catalog for $15 regardless of price. I picked out 4 necklaces. I had ordered the matching earrings at my friends party planning on getting the much more expensive necklaces when I held my show. When I got the order she ordered me the earrings for 2 of my bonus items instead of the necklaces! There is a huge price difference between them. The earrings are around $20 and the necklaces were $66 and $88 which I paid $15 each for. So, I e-mailed her and she never responded. I e-mailed her back 5 days later and she said she never got my first e-mail. Here was her response:

Hey Jen! No I never got this email....eeekkkk!!! Okay so here is what we can do, if those neclackes are still in the current catalog you may send back the earrings and the difference for the order. All you have to do is fill out the back of the white receipt you received with your jewels and send it back to the company. I'm thinking you must have given me the earring numbers instead of the necklaces when we were closing out your order.....if you have any other ?'s please let me know!

I still have the order I gave her attached to the front of the catalog and I have Relections necklace pg number, item number and price and the same for the other necklace.All the item numbers are correct so it was not my fault at all that the order got messed up. There is no way I'm paying the difference to get the necklaces or sending anything back at my expense. My sister is having a party next week and I told her I would give her the earrings then. How can I e-mail her politely but firmly letting her know that I expect to get what I ordered without going through a ton of hassle or paying any extra which I should not have to do. I feel bad because she is a very nice person and she is new at this, but good grief first you get the date wrong then you get 1/2 my order wrong. 1|1|i would make her replace them and if she wont call lia sophia|crazymomx2|crazymomx3girls@hotmail.com|14:27:09|08/06/2010|

politely call her..I think the emails should be done for awhile. call and explain to her that you have copies of everything...and what you want

I hope it doesn't come across as too mean. My sister is having a party in a little over a week which I plan on attending and hopefully everything will be squared away by then. The thing is I had my order all written down and she filled out the actual order form for me, so there is no way I made the mistake. Here is the e-mail I just sent her:

Hi Sarah,
I just checked the order form that I had taped to the front of my catalog and the item numbers were correct for the necklaces and I had the page number and price next to them so the error was not on my end. Sorry it took me a few days to get back to you, but with EAA I was working almost constantly. These were 2 of my $15 bonus hostess items. I checked the new catalog online and and the Reflections necklace is still in there but the Rhapsody necklace I did not see. I may have missed it though. Sending the earrings back and paying the difference would cost me $124 which I would never be able to afford which was the whole point I had the party in the first place- to get the more expensive items for the $15 hostess price. If you need to talk to someone about what to do that is fine. I would be happy picking out 2 items at my sister's party, but I don't feel I should have to pay any additional money for the items since I already paid for them, but received the wrong product. The earrings I can hand over to you or do whatever I need to do. I'm sending the earrings back to Lia Sophia with a pre-paid shipping label and I'll get $30 credit. She said I can use that on any two items in the catalog same as if I was a hostess. Thank goodness!
