Travelling through NM to get to the Grand Canyon from Colorado (through Walsenburg,Co, Down through Sante Fe,NM and Alburqueque,NM (sp?) To get to Williams AZ and hitting the national parks along the route
My Question is -- What is along the route that is "NOT TO MISS"? Souvenier shops,neat little roadside stops, cool monuments, etc???
Its a 10+ hour trip one way, so I know we will need to get out and walk around a lot..lol
Any Factory tours etc? Travelling with 2 boys ages 7 and 10..Any info is highly appreciated!

Try to walk the Santa Fe plaza or Albuquerque Old Town..... I'd look through tripadvisor for native American shops -- you can sometimes see the artisans working.
Food: You have to try green chile something -- burrito, burger,.... Maybe try it on the side (it can be warm for Yankees!)
Dream Catchers are fun souvenirs.
