I am asking for prayers for a local girl (Richmond, Missouri) who just received a double lung transplant after several months of waiting. She is only 9 years old and needed the transplant due to an illness she was born with. She received the lungs and went into surgery this afternoon. She is out of surgery and in recovery now. I am asking for prayers for Emilee and her family and for the family that lost a child but gave another the opportunity to live on... Thanks!!!!!

Saw an update saying she has fluid on her lungs and they are swollen and she's running a temp 101 for the last three nights. Please ask God to be with the family of this 9-year old

we just had a hot wings & fries fund raiser in excelsior last week for a 20 year old young man who has leukemia (2nd bout with cancer - had lymphoma when he was 18). they found a donor for him (53 year old female) and his transplant is august the 9th ... maybe. he was at ku the other day for some final testing and they found a spot on his lung. they don't think it's cancer but have called for more tests to see for sure. coty hylton is his name.
