I broke my foot in 3 places friday night playing soccer. Now I can't work for 6 weeks and my husband and I are going on our honey moon cruise Aug 2. We got married in Jan but put off the honeymoon until he graduated from Law School (which he did in May) bad timing for a broken foot, considering he cannot help me much due to him cramming for the BAR exam which he takes next week. Oh well....I am managing and going on the cruise! a unaboot which was this bandage that the dr wrapped around my foot and ankle and it hardens like a cast then I went to a ace bandage and still the hard boot I even have to sleep in mine then yesterday I got a new boot a crow walker and this will allow me to get up and walk tho it is not easy and it's slow but at least I am up I will be in this boot for months as well good luck 8|2|oopss should say 3 months been off my feet alomost 5|teener|teenerzacsneenee@yahoo.com|05:06:31|07/23/2010|

the height. I went on a cruise a few weeks after breaking my ft in 2 places and severely spraining that ankle. I wore my boot and hobbled along. The boot is so much better than a cast because if your foot swells it can be adjusted.The cruise lines are very accomodating . If the walk from the port to the check-in is too long just call ahead and they will meet you with a wheelchair and get you thru the check-in process and wheel you on the ship. The ships are BIG but just pace yourself and you'll be fine. When you're having fun you tend to forget about it. Plus you'll make a lot of friends as everyone asks "what happened?". :>) Enjoy!!!!! 10|2|Thanks everyone. But it makes sense to wear a certain shoe on the other foot to even out the height, I am so used to wearing flip flops it's hard to wear anything else. I finally was able to take steps with the boot last night, it took me a lot of courage but I did it. I tried rocking mt booted foot heel first then onto the toes and I move fatsre I hope I explained that right lol step down on the booted foot first with the heal then roll onto the toes not sideways just back to front it is also easier for me to walk on carpet do you think Krogers will install that for me?? lol lol 12|1|thx for the suggestions. I have been doing really well ( i Know my cruise will be better if I can get around) I cleaned the whole house today to. Before I know it I will be back to playing soccer. Unfortunately I have to wait 6 weeks so I don't break it again :)
