Have any of you had a cat that suddenly stopped coming in the house & stopped eating for no apparent reason? This has happened to my cat, since the 4th she stopped eating, she won't come in the house & she has a really strange meow like I never heard before. She lost all her weight I tried canned tuna which she used to eat the whole can at almost one setting but this time she only took a couple bites & drank some water & ran away. The next night she came around drank some more water & ran away wouldn't eat anything at all. I finally got her to come in the other night but then after a couple minutes she started howling something terrible & ran out the door & I haven't seen her since. I don't know if she might of gotten ahold of something bad or what it could be. She is 9yr old. but I never had a cat act like this before have any of you?
Thanks for reading, I'm real worried about her & if nothing else I hope she finds someplace nice & just goes to sleep because she has wasted away do quickly & I can't find her.

Animals have different ways of dealing with being sick. My neighbors cat recently died. He was an indoor cat and began tryinghard to get out... He would then yowel all night. Went on for a month. He died of heart problems. He would not drink or eat anything.
It's very sad to say..but your cat might be sick and
you would be helping it by putting it down. It could
be suffing.
Or maybe if you get it to the vet, they could save it.
I wish the best for you and your kitty. I know what
pet lost feeling like.

I don't think she will be coming back because she was so frail the last time I saw her & she was a skinny cat to begin with :(.

I'm not a vet, but she may have ingested something (antifreeze?) which would account for some of her behavior and weight loss. If you find her, please do get someone to see her. Call animal shelters around you if you do not have Petsmart and can't afford to take her. Tell them it is an emergency and if you have to you will relinquish her and maybe they can help you find someone.

I haven't seen her in a couple days now, I keep looking for her but she is no where to be seen so I think she went off somewhere & went to sleep.
