First I want to thank you all for your well wish;s during this rough time tho I haven't been on much they mean the world to me just knowing I can come here and let it out helps Mom is moving today from the hospital to the nursing home she'll be there for 3-4 weeks as a "patient" then during that time we will do what needs to be done so she can stay there at this point she is mor econcerned about when she will get er phone and tv hooked up lol Dealing with my sister is awhole other ball game lol I just got off the phone with her now and had to bring her back down about a couple of things I got the famous " I wouldn't do it" line but came right out and asked her if she could take care of Mom and she kinda blew and I told her it has gotten to were I can't either she shut up lol Keep those prayers coming the next few weeks will be rough hugs 1|1|Good for you T! Watched my MIL try to do it for over a year....was too much on her, the 2 sisters would guilt her every chance they could, yet not take her. at the hospital she asked me how I was planning on getting my Mom over to the nursing home ??/wth?? she then says Mom seems to think that they will transport her lol well yeah lol Seems all of a sudden and unlike the two times before medicare won't pay unless she is bed ridden or on oxtgen since she can sit up in a chair they won't
I told her that I can not do it for the obvious reasons and that my dh won't be home for hrs I asked what changed from the last time and she said she didn't know as she wasn't there the last time lol so she says she'll see what she can do
well Mom has secondary insurance so I don't know what the big deal is so she finally comes back to my moms room and tells her they are going to transport her and if she gets billed for it then they can't do anything about it wellll duh ugggggg

15|2|Ha! Typical......the rules of Medicare can be so convoluted, there is so much confusion! But it isnt that she can 'sit up' and doesnt have oxygen that is the only dequalifiers for transportation....if she cannot get in and out of a car safely, then she would qualify also....and all the doctor has to do is write the order for ambulance/nonemergency transport and document that his judgement is she needs transportation due to her overall health/function. |saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|18:43:49|07/21/2010|
