Remember the post not to long ago about the ladies that came to a traders yard sale with the hand scanners?

Well, I've seen 4 people in the last 4 days with those things at various thrift stores I've stopped at while I've been out working. So today I asked the lady I saw if it was worth her time and monthly fee. Her answer was "YES" she said she has almost fully paid for her sons college tuition doing it. She did say you have to pick your "speciality" and stick with it. She said it started off slow but she's busy as can be doing it now.

I didn't ask what types of books or items were her "speciality" but she was in the book area and I didn't ask if "tuition" was for all 4 years, one year or just the semister but she seemed to be happy with her results.

The other person I see fairly often I know is a man that lives in my neigborhood and he owns a used book store.

Anyone else see these people?

I decided to sell some of my old books and had my son list them on Amazon Well I had some of my legal books that I bought quite a few years ago and was surpised to see that they sold for alot of money! One sold for $85 I was thinking that scanner definately would be a good idea to take to yard sales and find books on a regular basis and make a part time job of doing just that. I think you'd really have to be diligent and put alot of time and effort into it and it really could work

the lady said she doesn't sell them on Ebay anymore. So I asked her if they go on Amazon and she said yes... she was trying to be a bit secretive about it. But she had tons of books in her cart. No wonder all the really good current books are gone!
