I am just getting back into couponing and refunding pretty good. Just wondering how much everyone gets back in rebates each month and how much you save with coupons. TIA

1|1|I don't really do rebates but coupons.....|hudge4|hudge95@yahoo.com|21:35:43|07/14/2010|

I been saving $25 to $35 a week pretty consistantly, HBA and cleaning. It's not much but it helps.

I've been doing really well with Safeway, hitting their markdown fresh meat. Usually 30% to 50% off. That's been where I've been saving big.

3|1|I can't say it's every month, but I'd say a good average for me with coupons and rebates is about $500....and I'm sure that's nothing compared to some who are able to double coupons and have much better access to the stores like CVS, Target, etc than I do. But you may not get much input on this....every once in awhile some one will ask (for fun, out of curiosity) and when others answer, there is invariably the snide comments about how people cheat, dont use coupons correctly, use fake reciepts, etc.....no one really wants to subject themselves to the snide comments I would imagine. |saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|09:04:59|07/15/2010|

You will find this to be true as well. You will make enough/save enough to feel it is worth the time and effort. I guarantee. For me I cann't exactly say. Some things I buy I would not buy without coupons/rebates. So I don't know if that is a savings. Also, I stock pile and then some gets given away, sold at yard sale, sold on ebay, etc. It is really hard to put a value on this. But I know it is worth the time and effort! 5|1|Thanks for the replies - I was just checking because I am really hoping to get back into couponing and refunding well and was hoping it is possible to save at least $500 per month|tammytwo|tamdesigns@mchsi.com|11:22:04|07/15/2010|

6|1|Impossible to say about rebates.....as the offers vary greatly month to month|Abbicca|Abbicca@insightbb.com|12:09:13|07/15/2010|

Normally Super Bowl, July, and December are GREAT months for rebates. Other times are not as plentiful. The best are rebates on what you use anyway-- general grocery, basket ring, and gift cards. Then the ones on meat in general..... :) because it is something that you don't get coupons for.

I know we get enough on rebates to make it worthwhile but I live in a NBPN state (thank goodness).

How much you save on groceries will also depend on how much you NORMALLY buy in groceries. Larger families will save more---overall... than someone just buying for one or two. Still TOTALLY worthwhile and makes it possible to share. 7|2|You can look at my signature line... last year I saved over $16,000 in coupons. The way we do it here is watching for b1g1 free sales (which happen A LOT) and special clearance items, combining store coupons with manufacturer coupons (when it's allowed) and just plan good old fashioned bargin hunting. I live in a big city and there are a lot of couponer's here so one may score one deal while another get a different one. It's a big game of hit or miss really and when you miss you simply move onto the next store. I'm also a SAHM so it's easier for me to get in on the deals than someone who works full time. I always watch the ads that come through on Tuesday's and Wednesday's and Sunday's and figure out the deals (or read them online) and match up my coupons with a list for each store and clip the list and the coupons together. If a store is out I find out when they will restock and/or get a rain check and come back at a later date. I also have a friend across the state that is REALLY good at finding deals and she shares her coupons with me. (Thank you Dianne!) And another friend living right here in Jax that calls me when she scores a really big deal and she can't get to my side of town. (Thank you Margie) I also live in a "dumpster diving state" (it's leagal to dumpster dive here as long as the dumpster isn't locked or guarded by a locked gate) thus the various newspaper recycling bins around town are free game for leftover coupon inserts dropped off by newspaper deliverers. Yee Haw! IT's a game to get the deals but it sure is a fun one! I hth a little and I wish you the very best of luck! :)
