Been dealing with a hemotologist trying to get all my paper work online before I see them next week. Well I got a call saying I don't have to see them Tuesday because they found a report from the last hemo I saw when I was dealing with my blood clot 2 years ago. Turns out he made a pregnancy plan out at that time. Because he is one of the best of the state they are going to go with his plan. I see my OBGYN next Wednesday and at that time we will set up the shots.
I have a high risk of not going full term. If I have an emergency delivery this will cause issues. They want you off the meds for s bit before they do anything since it is a blood thinner.
I hate shots and i hate added risk to my baby. I am not worried about myself, I am only worried about Timothy.

Jeromy has not been worried about much until I told him about this. He didn't sound like he wants me to take the shots, but I told him the risk of me getting another blood clot is to high. We see my OBGYN on Wednesday I am sure there will be 1,000 questions asked.

heprin shots when i was going to have my second child i had blood clots real bad, when i had my first child. with my second child i ended up having a emergecy c section but didnt really have any major problems. i wish you tons of best wishes and luck the only reason i had any problems, at all is this little intern decided to break my water and my daughter shot back up inside of me and turned sideways(transverse)if he had left me alone it wouldnt have happened and i could have had her the proper way. i will say lots of prayers for you

ANd then after the birth I had to take it for another 8 weeks. The other thing...two days before you are to give birth he'll take you off and give you heparin. Also...be careful b/c the bleeding is very very bad AFTER the baby is born. B/c your blood is soo thin. I had a csection and I was a complete mess blood wise. Those shots saved my baby boy though and I was grateful my dr. found out about the clot before I lost another baby.
You can email me if you want to talk further about it. Also I gave myself the shot in the fatty part of my stomach on the side. No bruises at all. It was super easy.
Also not sure what your insurance covers but they were super expensive. It was $800 for a one month supply. My insurance paid it all except for $20. But if they didn't it would have been astronomical. Also Heparin is cheaper and many people go on this b/c their insurance covers it more and it's cheaper.
