Hi Everyone: please share your all-time BEST bargain!! The one you will never, ever forget! It should be a fun read. 1|1|my garage sale "best bargain"|20yrrefunder|tradernikki@yahoo.com|09:42:08|06/22/2010|

We all have gotten free things at the store - so don't know if that is what you are talking about or not. But, my best garage sale bargain is this:

Went into a garage and saw that the "lady of the house" was just going into the house - leaving the garage to her "man of the house". I saw a very puffed, full, comforter and I could not find a price on it or did not want to open it up to find the size, etc. - BUT, I was 100% sure that it was a feather/down comforter - beige in color. You could feel the feathers inside it and I even pulled a little feather out of one of the seams. I asked the "Mr" - How much is your feather comforter? - to which he snottily answered - That is not a feather comforter - to which I asked - How much is your comforter? - to which he answers - Oh, I guess it is $3 - so I whipped out $3 and gave it to him and ran all the way to my car with it - because I KNEW that it was a feather comforter. When I got home I put it on my queen size bed and it went almost to the floor on all sides - IT WAS A KING SIZE DOWN COMFORTER - looked like new. So, my guess that the Mr. may have gotten in trouble when his Mrs. came out and he told her that he sold that comforter for just $3.

great 10 piece calphalon set clearanced at Target with the sku number. It was advertised as clearanced at the store. But I knew the sku. So I walked in with mom and showed her the set. It was her birthday. She loved the set..there was one. I marched it over to the register. It was originally $350 I paid $35 and made my mom's day. That was great!

Of course there are tons of stuff I have gotten for free but that was THE best bargain! 9|2|Oh WOW! Kohls sometimes has the most incredible deals with discounts AND coupons!|missy|lovetotrade@hotmail.com|16:06:42|06/23/2010|

One of the best was a thrift store find. The store was about to close and we were standing at the cash register when my eyes fell upon this print that was across the room. Much to the dismay of the poor store clerk I asked to look at it. It was a print of a photograph of a carousel and was just wonderful. I think I paid $3-4 for it and it was in a professional frame. Took it home and looked up the artist and discovered I had a print that was worth $400-500 because they had only printed a couple hundred copies of it and it was desirable. I sold it for around $400, so that was a nice profit AND I got to enjoy it for a little while first. When I get money wealthy (I am already wealthy in other ways) I hope to buy it back someday.

Another find was a little toy what was ten cents and I sold for about $40. There was an Alice in Wonderland cut out that I bought for $1 and sold for about $75. And there are a lot more. I seem to have a good eye for "stuff".

we weren't going to buy a dog, but there he was, just waiting for me, Mackie was 50% off because he was in a pet shop and almost 6 months old. Lucky, lucky, lucky me! Stopping in a pet store, an hour from home, no plans of getting a dog, oh yeah, I was lucky! : )

Last year I stopped into a furniture store in upstate NY, just to look around. Much to my surprise, this store also sold Hallmark cards, and had a whole section, just like a small card shoppe would have! BEST OF ALL there were signs everywhere that all cards were now 10 CENTS each! OMG!!!!! The selection was already somewhat picked over, but for 10 cents, I found piles! I think my original total was over $3.00, less than what just one of the nicer cards would normally cost!! When I got home and told some friends, everyone wanted some, so we went back, and got EVERY card that we could ever have a use for! Then the owner asked if I would like some extra FREE envelopes that he would be tossing!!! Now I just need someone to live to the age of 100, so I can send that card! LOL
It's a wonder I am still alive to tell this story, after all the excitement of going there twice!!!!

I did just get soccer cleats and pads etc for two of my grandkids at a garage sale for $3!!! They were like new, and my daughter said that she has had to pay $60+ for them in the past!!!

was on of those toddler bedroom in a box thingies. I got a Spongebob and Dora set. Came with a bed, table, 2 chairs and a toy organizer. Those silly Wal Mart people neglected to change the signs (there was a display in the middle aisle ... on side were wipes, the other side was the beds). I paid $6.88 for the beds ... the price of the wipes :o) 27|2|WOO HOO ~ Way to go!!|missy|lovetotrade@hotmail.com|11:03:41|06/28/2010|

But my best deal was the P&G deal at Walgreens a couple of years ago. I had only been couponing for 6 months but, because of sales and coupons, I was paying $6 for Cover Girl makeup and getting $20 in RR's. HUGE MM!!! I did that all week (I did a couple of transactions per store, but went to alot of different stores ;)- I never cleaned one out). I think I ended up making a few hundred dollars, got tons of "groceries" at Wags.

I also have a girlfriend who looooooves thrifting. She blesses us with her finds and has an awesome eye for legit stuff. She just gave my bff a (probably brand new) Coach purse that she bought for $.99!!!! Yes...less than ONE DOLLAR! I wish I had her eye :D. 29|4|Wow yes there are some awesome deals out there but we all need more TIME to take advantage of them!!!|missy|lovetotrade@hotmail.com|09:29:29|06/29/2010|

This week our Price Chopper has three DOUBLE up to $3. cpns in their ad, but there is only one local store, and I am too well known to go too often! There are several other stores in nearby towns, but I don't have the time to do the rounds, although I do LOVE doing that!
