13 0|0|Need travel advice for Canada please...:) (M)|cpnsgirl03|couponsgirl2003@yahoo.com|23:18:18|06/20/2010|
Hi All,
We plan to go to Canada this summer. We will be staying at Toronto, Calgary (we plan to drive to Lake Moraine) and Vancouver area.
Does anyone have any travel advice around these cities?
We're looking for suggestions for family friendly area as we will have to stay in a hotel and want the hotel located in the family friendly (safe) area.
How about the grocery store and other things? We will be traveling with a 1 yo and I'm hoping not to bring to many diapers from here :) Is the brand the same like here (like Pampers, Huggies, etc)?
Any advice is greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
sisca
please leave me feedback :)

I haven't been to that area, but I know in the Montreal area, everything costs more in the grocery stores. My advice is to bring all the diapers that you can with you. 2|1|make sure you exchange your currancy at banks so you get the official exchange rate|ppe1952|MATWELL3@ROCHESTER.RR.COM|16:23:22|06/21/2010|
and use your credit cards for the same reason
Remember your manners: when god answers your prayers----- say thank you.

4|1|Most things in Ontario are comparable in price to the States. Some are actually much better. I have a link inside to a grocery store flyer that shows you some of the prices including diapers.|Ranalt|ainebailey@gmail.com|16:48:35|06/21/2010|

Use Postal Code L4M 6E5
Although I usually don't have my coupons when I am in Ontario, I find great deals at the grocery stores.
Try to avoid buying things directly in Toronto as it is overpriced. There are many towns right around Toronto that you can shop in for good deals.
I don't know much about Calgary, other than if you want a job, Calgary is thriving.
What kinds of things are you looking to do, touristy, historic sites, rustic areas, etc?
Feel free to email me.

7|1|Thanks for all the advices so far :) More question inside please...|cpnsgirl03|couponsgirl2003@yahoo.com|09:43:41|06/23/2010|
Thanks for all the advices :)
I'll need to buy regular milk there, are they pretty much the same as the milk in here? And are they pretty accessible? I mean, in here we can get milk pretty much anywhere, like in convenience store, restaurant, etc...I'll need milk around the clock for the baby as he drinks regular cow milk now....
Any suggestion will be great :)
And how about the hotel? We are visiting Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver and we're hoping to stay at hotels that are located in family friendly area...If anyone know about this, please let me know :)
Thanks so much!!

9|1|Ummm.... their milk is often (if not always) sold in bags|Abbicca|Abbicca@insightbb.com|10:06:03|06/23/2010|

Just wanted to warn you....I recall being surprised that they don't have jugs of milk.
So bring something you can put it into....just in case you can't find a "normal" one.
10|1|Abbica is right. Their milk is often sold in bags. The further you get away from the big cities, the more often you will find this. You can usually find half gallon cartons of milk no problem. It is usually the gallon size of milk that comes in 4- 32oz plastic bags. |Ranalt|ainebailey@gmail.com|13:09:02|06/23/2010|
Just bring a plastic 2 litre picture to be safe. These work perfect.
