10 0|0|Moths!! Help!|hudge4|hudge95@yahoo.com|11:44:23|06/20/2010|

This week we've found socks and shirts with moth holes! We have never had this problem in other houses we've lived in but we are new to this house. I looked into my pantry but don't see any thing there so I am assuming it is confined to the dressers (where we keep sox & undershirts) and the closet.

What works to rid these? I am searching online but would like your imput as to what works. Would prefer not to use moth balls because of the smell. Do I need an exterminator?

Walmart has cheap and cute sachet cedar planks wrapped in a pretty bag with a bow, so it's a lot more fashionable and easy to tolerate than mothballs. They're over by the laundry area with the laundry hampers and ironing boards. Really inexpensive and it has kept them at bay in my house. 3|2|Maybe go to Home Depot...they sell a 4'x8' sheet of cedar "osb" that hubby can cut into a shelf or pcs for each closet..they sell Cedar in various ways |carmenanderson|cloudcars@verizon.net|21:51:47|06/20/2010|

Carpet beatles and sivler fish eat holes in fabrics as well and they like dark drawers and closets too.

Would depend on what the fabric content is and what the "holes" look like.

Where's Kristys hubby?...He's the bug man...maybe he has some "tips".

5|3|I checked pantry foods and don't see any sign of infestation. My son pulled some socks out of his drawer that had about 6 holes eaten out of it. I'm also finding undershirts and stuff in drawers w/ small holes. Tomarrow I am gonna vacuum all the drawers in everyones rooms and get some cedar at Home Depo for closets and drawers.|hudge4|hudge95@yahoo.com|00:27:03|06/21/2010|

My husband has been in the pest control field for almost eight years. He suggests you go to home depot type store and buy glue boards for mice. Take them home and place them behind furniture and in other places you think you have these pests. Give it 24hrs and see what you catch. It doesn't make sense to treat for something until you know what you are facing.
