I didn't feel so tired yesterday when I was in the hospital. Just washing up and changing clothes was enough to totally exhaust me today. Oh well, recliner, here I come! 1|1|Glad you're back home & glad to see you posting Robin! :) Take it easy but I hope you have a speedy recovery. :)|maraj|maraj64@hotmail.com|10:10:02|06/20/2010|

We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box. ~Robert Fulghum

6|2|Went to hospital this morning...|whitmarg|robin@whitmannet.com|22:22:36|06/21/2010|

Got one of four drains removed and all redressed, etc. They said it looks great - I just can't look yet. Said I could drive as long as no pain meds, I can move my head side to side and my foot coordination was good. Yep, drove home. A whole 17 miles. Got home around 10:30 and slept till around 4:30. Tonight I changed my dressing and binding myself and screwed it up so I pulled a drain a little.

I'm getting old...

One thing that happened a couple times that is very bothersome is I get this blurry spot in my sight. It's off to the left and it doesn't matter if I have one eye open, or both it's still in the same place, so I don't really think it's my eye otherwise it wouldn't be there all the time. I'm thinking dehydration. So I had DH go get a bag of ice and I'm trying to recreate the ice chip ecstacy of the hospital.

I haven't had time to try on new clothes yet -- still kinda swollen, but tshirts that were snug are no longer snug. Tshirts that were a little loose not hang on me like on a hanger. Wow, I'm gonna love this. The binding stays on for 4-8 weeks - - I don't remember which. But, of course, summer!!! It also helps me not eat, so it has a double use!

Well, beddy bye time. 7|3|Feel Better Robin!|Mackiesmudder|Mackiesmudder@aol.com|01:51:15|06/23/2010|

Cathie 8|3|They already removed a drain? Lucky! I had mine 13 days and 16 days. That was the oddest feeling having them removed. It freaked me out... I spent the days between removals scared about having the rest taken out... It was nice having them out! I had 4 and they all came out the top of my pants - I called them my udders :-) |RobinsCrazyWorld|robinmarie72@gmail.com|01:58:34|06/23/2010|

10|4|Robin you are too funny -- I call them something, but not udders -- I think they look more like...|whitmarg|robin@whitmannet.com|09:22:55|06/23/2010|

A couple of male body parts in that general area!!! I keep trying to tuck them in my sweatshorts and telling DH that I do, in deed, have the !#@@s in the family!!!

I too have 4 drains. The first came out pretty easily but still freaky. I'm stressing over hopefully getting the other three out this morning. One is borderline -- I have a feeling they will say... sorry.

And its so hot and muggy -- All I really want to do is stand in the shower and have water pour down my body.

I keep losing weight -- I've been home since Saturday and have lost 7 pounds while at home so far. I'm okay with that. Shirts are so baggy. I have been living in sweatpants and sweatshorts -- I may try to wear jeans shorts today (I know they will be baggy, but it's just so hot I want something that breathes).

Having trouble sleeping cuz these things are so uncomfortable.

Well, off to convince myself that what I'm about to do is comparable to a shower!!!

TTYL! 9|3|Oh... wait until you see the changes in your clothing over the next few months. You will think you wount get much smaller and your not swollen anymore, but you will be. It is fun! Watch for infections... I had a few pockets that would swell up at the base of my thigh incesions... A huge knot formed and took months to fully go away. It hurt but there want much that they could do. They do go away, juts keep a good eye on things.|RobinsCrazyWorld|robinmarie72@gmail.com|02:02:12|06/23/2010|
