I'm going to try and break this down a little.. but anyways... May 29th was Travis's 21st birthday. He was in the process of moving, etc.
We called him to invite him out to eat for his birthday. We went to this italian place called tommys at 5 pm. When he came he pulled in beside us.
He has a big suburban... But anyways..he had his 3 dogs with him. 2 pomeranians, and 1 pit bull. It wasn't that hot out, but still he had his windows rolled down a little,
he always keeps a portable fan in the car for the dogs...and he has those cold pads for the dogs to keep them cool...BUT anyways.... they were in the car. We all went
in to eat...was in there for about an hour...when we came out...someone had stole his dogs, his garmin, his laptop that was hidden under the seat, and a cellphone
and his jar of change he kept for parking meters... We called the police and more or less was told that they didn't have much to go on??? so we were all upset...I hated
it because I picked the place, invited him etc. Day's following, we watched craigslist, called animal shelters etc..hoping for the dogs more then anything. Travis loves
his pit bull and amanda loves her pomeranians... nothing came about. SO yesterday travis gets a call on his cellphone...and they identify themselves as the Gladsone police,
and ask who they were talking too... Travis responds with this is "Travis S....." and they said, do you know anything about a laptop with your information on it? He tells them
the story... the police tell him that they made a traffic stop, found alot of equipment that seemed fishy..took his laptop to the station and found his resume on it....SO now
they are going to do some more investigating..of course, all travis wants to know about is the dogs... BUT anyways....I'm just so glad that these people that steal, and do things
to other people are being caught! I just wish they could do something about these low life bad traders. I just can't believe that we have people that join these boards,
and could care less about people and just be out to get someone. SO anyways...just my little story that I'm happy that travis got his laptop back...and hopefully the police will
find the rest of the stuff. ...of course, now i have to find the paperwork from when I bought the garmin for him to prove the serial numbers. I bought it from Amazon and i found
that receipt but if nothing else that may be enough... OF course the bite marks on the cord from the pit bull might be enough proof too..I mean..who else bites on their cords...LOL
