A THOUGHT TO PONDER: "On the road of life there are passengers and drivers, which are you?"
1|1|I moveded from Milwaukee Wis. to Portland Or on the train. I just had a seat and really wised i would have gotten a sleeper card. It was a 44 hour trip. |RobinsCrazyWorld|robinmarie72@gmail.com|21:45:17|06/09/2010|

3|3|yes, went from chicago to flordia when I was young, uncomfortable for long hours sitting in the seats even though we went to the dining car to eat...|HONEY11|HONEY1@AMERITECH.NET|21:57:17|06/09/2010|
I would suggest getting a sleeping cabin, much more comfortable.

Have used Amtrak several times for trips to NYC, Philly, etc. Less aggravation than driving I95! I would love to try the Autotrain to FL sometime.

Several years ago we took the Autotrain from Lorton,Va to Sanford, Fl. We enjoyed the trip despite the delay in leaving. We were several hours late due to the wildfires along the track in Fl. Then they had to clean and restock the train before we could leave.
We had the sleeper car, but have decided that the next time we would try the regular seats. Sleeper car was adequate in amount of space, but I thought the beds were a bit uncomfortable.
Dinner was delicious.
We would do the train again. Better than driving from Pa to Fl. Wake up refreshed and ready to go in the morning.
