Yes, New Smyrna and Ponce Inlet is loaded with Sharks. I am glad I do not Surf, as the Surfers can see them while they are are Surfing. A couple of years ago, while I was Surf Fishing, I was in knee deep water and all of a sudden a 4 to 5 ft shark appeared about 20 feet from me. I must of jumped out of the water and hit the beach with one leap. Now, I just throw my line out as far as I can to reach deep water and stay on the beach. The Shark probably smelled the big cut bait I was using on my hook, that made it come close to me, I do not know, but I got out of there quickly. 37|1|I'm just jealous! Can I go with you?
