There are a lot of old western towns in the area.  I've never been to the towns you are visiting, but can't imagine they wouldn't be cool.  I think of CO as a "boy" state -- you know, western things - cowboys, mountains, etc.  Just the topography of the land will be amazing.  We don't have mountains here on the east coast - we have some big hills, but you see MOUNTAINS in Colorado.  Red rock; moose; incredible steaks; beautiful, beautiful area.  I want to live there!!!

(Zion Canyon is as well)<P>Since you have boys..... they might especially like the burro ride down INTO the Grand Canyon.  <P>We did a cross country road trip---ten days from Ky to Ca and back.  It included the canyons...and I recall them being close to each other.  I recall plenty of other sites...but I do NOT recall how close they might've been to the Canyons.   LOL<P>But, we really liked Bryce Canyon more than the Grand Canyon.....
