I was once assigned the task of "jazzing up" the lobby board when I worked as a Marketing intern for a bank. It was during a promotion with the school district which dealt with getting teachers to have direct deposit and spread their pay over 12 months. Any way, I went with the teaching idea and make a background, a tree with limbs and cut out a ton of apples. Each teacher who signed up for the promo got their initials on the apple (and I kept a list of full names) and one of the branch tellers would tape the apple on the tree at the end of the day. At the end of the promo, we took all of the apples, put them in a basket, and had my boss in Marketing pull an apple (I had the full name) to get a gift card to a book store.

Perhaps you could do a beach theme if that is a direction you would like to go? Maybe make a beach scene and have a food drive? For each donation, the person could get a shell, star fish, sandal, beach pail, or another cut out, to put on the bulletin board. At the end you could donate the food to a shelter or pantry and if funds allow for a work prize, pull the cut outs off the board and pull a name? 2|2|Here's more info|prestonmom|prestonmom@yahoo.com|20:54:06|05/26/2010|

Actually I work for a bank and I do need to surround it with info but figured I can fit that in once I decide what to use. Like I can write the info in beach balls.

Just trying to get a idea of what my background should be picnic or beach or fishing etc.

All I do know if my theme is fun in the sun. My manager thought we should do something with postcards from Maine to Flordia but not sure how to fit that in to summer.

Fun in the Sun Cross Country Road Trip
Use your postcards as a border around the board. Use cardboard or tagboard to make the front of a suitcase (for added dimension, you can even attach a real handle) Put your needed info on "souvenier travel stickers" that you can attach to the suitcase. You could also use a large map and print cars onto tagboard and place them at various locations on the map. Be sure to have a face in each car's window. Most of all be creative and have fun. 5|2|WOW like this idea!!|prestonmom|prestonmom@yahoo.com|21:21:49|05/27/2010|
