as Sharon would have you believe. Certainly there are problems in this nation that need to be addressed and solved. Oh, and if folks are worried about the price of their tomatoes, let them grow their own. Plants won't take up much space, ya know. I do find the original article interesting, and it is pretty much true. However, the answer to the immigration problem will be in the solution (that is the main sticking point here)...not merely treating the symptoms. Partisan politics will need to be cast aside. Liberals will have to stiffen their backbones, and come up with the chutzpah to do what is necessary to protect the American people and to secure our southern border with Mexico. But I did want to point out one error in the original article.
An illegal immigrant will NOT get Earned Income Credit on their tax return. You must have a valid social security number (and it must be valid for work) to get that tax benefit. Illegal immigrants can file taxes...but they must do so by getting ITIN's (Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers).
I've helped quite a few go through that process because I do think they are making an honest effort in trying to pay into the country and abide by ALL the laws.
