I am almost out of stockpiled laundry detergent. I am also very dizzy and tired today, well for 4 days now, and going to the store is just not going to happen.

I have a bottle of Gain (not reg scent) that I started using yesterday. I washed 3 loads of clothing (which are still in a basket waiting to be folded - ugh - Will probably have to wash them anyways to get out the wrinkles)and I also cleaned the blanket I use of the couch when I am clod. I use this allllll the time lately since sleep has been an issue and I spend a lot of time on the couch at night.....

Well I used the gain. OMG the scent is making me SICK!! I am going to have to go to my neighbor and borrow some detergent to get this smell out of my home! I hate not to use the detergent, so I hope Jeromy is ok with it. If he does I can use it on his work cloths.

I don't think I have ever felt this ill from a smell (other then disgusting ones) before.

Robin,

Know your not alone with the scent of gain making you sick. I'm not with peanut and gain makes me sick. I actually got a bad migraine from the smell of it.

I too washed lots of stuff with it and that's when I finally figured out on like day 2 what was making me sick. By then I was about 3 loads into it too, UGH!. Even after a re-wash things still had the gain smell which took a few more washes to get rid of it. I now stick to only a few choices of detergent brands and scents and don't change no matter how good the sale, LOL! Same with fabric dryer sheets....I only by the unscented ones (this way there is no mixing an extra scent to the mix)! Glad when those Snuggle coupons came out because I stocked up on their unscented sheets, YEAH!

You may not want to wash anything else with it...including J's clothing...you will still be able to smell it on him and in his clothes (in the closet or even the drawers).

Give it away or trade your neighbor!

Best of luck to you and the rest of the laundry.

2|2|With the blamket I did not add anything else... WIth the clothing I added Tide stain stuff & Snuggle... That seems to have hidden a lot of the Gain smell... but I will smell it all again and if I can smell even a little I think I will give it away... I don't want to smell it on Jeromy... His smell is already making me sick! LOL Well to be fair it was right after he spent a whole day building our deck and he had forgotten his deoderant - LoL - Ok, off to smell my laundry again... And, I guess, start the blanket on a second wash cycle!|RobinsCrazyWorld|robinmarie72@gmail.com|19:29:35|05/11/2010|

and I am NOT preggers! LOL! When they came out with all the Downey with Lavender, Almond, Vanilla samples, etc., I gave them all to my neice! I have to stick with the unscented detergent. I can't even handle the perfume samples that come in my People magazine. I have to tear them out and put them in the garbage before I even sit down to read it. They give me such a headache!

I am sure a neighbor or maybe someone Jeromy works with would be happy to get the Gain. Some people LOVE the smell of it.

6|1|Robin, if you rewash that stuff, add about a cup of white vinegar to the wash cycle, that should take the scent out...and since they're already clean, dont add any detergent. :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|17:06:29|05/12/2010|
