LAST WEEK I THOUGHT I WAS HAVING A STROKE. NUMBNESS IN THE LEFT SIDE OF MY FACE. VISION BLURRED WAY MORE THAN USUAL, COULDN'T CLOSE MY LEFT EYE. WELL, AFTER A VISIT TO THE E.R. THEY SAY I HAVE BELLS PALSY. AN INFECTION OF THE MUSCLES ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY FACE. AND IT SEEMS TO BE ALL UP IN THE AIR HOW OR WHY THIS HAPPENS. STRESS IS A FACTOR TOO. I HAVE DONE ALL THE RESEARCH I CAN DO BUT WAS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE THAT ACTUALLY GONE THRU THIS PERSONALLY OR WITH A FAMILY MEMBER SO I HAVE SOME IDEA WHAT WILL HAPPEN NOW. THE MUSCLE CONTROL IS SUPPOSED TO COME BACK AT SOME POINT. IS IT WEEKS OR MONTHS.?? ALSO WHEN IT GOES AWAY, DOES IT COME BACK REPEATEDLY. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. ...... 1|1|Went thru this with my DH a few years ago. He is fine now, never has flared up again, only he|Mackiesmudder|Mackiesmudder@aol.com|12:27:07|05/06/2010|

and I know that his eye sags a tiny bit. No one else sees a thing. It is very scary at first, I thought he was having a stroke.

it was right before she graduated from high school.the poor thing looked so bad she wasn't under stress no sleeping with a fan just came out of no where, the only thing I remember is her ear hurt just before it lasted a couple of weeks and then she was fine they told us no one knows why you get it or why it goes away she has never has it again and it been close to 20 years one of her eyes does droop a little bit hope you get better soon Linda
