I have been a trader on this board for several years and my traders will vouch for my honesty. My family is going through a lot of pain and worry right now and can use help. My great-nephew, Justin, who will turn 18 in July has been battling cancer since he was age 4. He has had multiple operations and so many radiation treatments that he cannot have any more. His cancer began in the brain and has now progressed to other parts of his body, namely his spine and lungs. He is now willing to try an experimental chemo therapy treatment. Just search for Justin Blackwell to find the article. He has never been able to drive a car due to all his brain surgeries because of possible seizure activity. Kids have made fun of him and called him Frankstein because he has scars all over his head his entire life. He has missed so much school due to his illness that he may never graduate high school. He has not experienced most of the day-to-day pleasures most of us take for granted.
If anyone is interested, I would be extremely grateful if you could send him a card (get well or inspirational) and, if possible, anything you could donate to the family, even if is a dollar. They need thousands of dollars to get him further treatment. The local town (which is extremely small) is having a fund raiser for him this month. Since the mail may contain donations, the post office has agreed to hold their mail at the post office. I guess there are some unscrupulous people who steal from mailboxes even though it is a felony if caught.
