Very little traffic today. There was a huge sale at the high school. At one point a guy came with his little kids during the only rush we had and as we were dealing his kids were getting into stuff and I got distracted. I ended up giving him change before he paid so I lost $18 bucks that way. I cannot believe how stupid I was! Grr@$#!
I just packed it in and gave up. Today is not a good day. :(

That stinks that he wasn't honest enough to tell you he hadn't paid and took your cash.
We try to do our yard sale in "teams"....two adult and one teenager (my big football player looking son usually) at all times if possible.
That way if someone has to run inside to make change for a larger bill or take a bathrm break, then there is still good
"coverage".
If you packed it up, then you're all ready for another sale maybe in a few weeks--
we usually go for the first full weekend so we're trying next week.

I went to a garage sale yrs ago down the block, went out to lunch with my sister and when going in my purse noticed how much she gave me back,the elderly lady gave me $10 too much back, I rang her doorbell the next day and gave it back to her, I believe in karma and knew it was the right thing to do...she was shocked that I returned the money..
We don't do garage sales here, but sounds like it can be hectic.
I would love to do a flea market one day, but bf is weird about selling stuff we have,stuff we no longer need or want we give it away and he believes stuff we get free or cheap with coupons should be given away free(karma)...So for the last 8 years we continue to give our stockpile stuff away to family/friends for free but I sometimes wish I could sell the stuff for at least cheap and put some money away in the bank.{[sigh}} Maybe one day..

at work I turned it in to HR. and I guess after so many days if it'd not claimed it will go back to me. My friend went w/ me to turn it in. So we'll see what happends.
