this darn thing is up by my gums and it is so sore! I have been using hydrogen peroxide cause I thought that would "dry" it out but it really doesn't seem to be changing much, any other home remedies???

It will burn but it should help or thats what i use to help with mine or also if you look in the section of the store where toothpaste is at you should find something there called kanka and that is for canker sores inside your mouth but that just kind of numbs it up to give you some relief but I use the medicated listerine its like a puple color

all my life have dealt with canker sores inside the mouth.
Listerine does help but I tend to use a crushed up aspirin before bed, kinda make a paste out of it & put it right on the sore. Don't need much, a whole aspirin will last a while. HTH

Alum will kill it...if u can stand the pain...but there is also some kind of stuff my doctor gave me once...it comes on a stick like a match.....but it has a long stick with some kinda stuff on the end..........they are one use.......soon as u touch the sore..it will get a white top on it......and soreness will leave......
these are prescription only..........but i cant remember what they are called........but they work good...but also are not for whimps.......but one touch and its all better

It does help. It doesn't feel so good but it does help. Also stay away from all foods with acid. No tomatos, ketchup, oranges, etc...

The "matchstick" looking thing works miracles - it is prescription only and exteremly painful. Another painful solution that works wonders is to apply a small amount of methy something or mecura something (can't remember the names or possibly blocked them from memory because of the extreme pain) - the red stuff in the small jar that comes with a dropper - to a cotton swab and dab on the sore two or three times a day. I used to get a canker sore inside my mouth once in awhile when I was a kid, & warm salt water is what my mom had me rinse my mouth with, several times a day. It would kind of sting but it worked. But I remember my mom saying the canker sores like that came from a sour stomach, which I believe meant an acidy stomach - I was eating too much junk food & not enough nutritious food. ;)
