So my doctor wanted me to go to the local teaching hospital to see their high risk OBGYN. Their doctor reviewed my case and was willing to take me on BUT they do not take my insurance.
I called the doctor I had wanted to see who is high risk and deals with pain management. 3 weeks ago I set up an appointment with him for yesterday BUT it was canceled when my insurance was messed up (turned out that it was NEVER messed up, i had been given bad info). Last THURDSDAY (A WEEK AGO!) My medical information was sent to him for review. After a few calls this week I FINALLY got answers. He thinks i am too high risk for him and wants me to go to this one place (2 hours away by bus!) I had to call and find out NO ONE CALLED ME. A week to look over a few papers, come on!
I am not sleeping lately. I have not had any pain managment meds in more then 3 weeks and I hurt. I can not do anything to get comfortable. I am lucky if I get 5 hours total sleep in a 24 hour period for most of a week now. I just want to get this started!!!
I placed a call to the new doctors. They need to review me as well! I have to run all over AGAIN to fill out papers to have my files released. Would be so much easier if I DROVE!
I just need some sleep! I have taken Tylenol PM and it was no help. Tylenol is all my reg doctor says I can take right now.
I am feeling this is going to be a LONGGGGG 8 months coming up!

They pick you up at your house,take you to where you need to go,come and get you and bring you back home.
I had to use this service when I was in a bad car wreck years ago and it was a godsend.
With you being on disability, this should be covered.

It sounded like things would go smoothly after I talked to my doctors office and told them what I needed.
Someone called me back asking about the referral saying they needed a doctors name. I said that they wont know what doctor I will see until they get my info, review it and see who I will fit best with. When we hung up it sounded like we were all set.... I just got another call saying that my insurances doesn't need a referral. They can't seem to understand that the doctor wants it, NOT the insurance..... I had to repeat over and over that they said they needed the two things clearly... I then asked if they even faxed over my untra sound report and all my medical papers. The woman was confused and asked if they wanted all of that!ARGGGGHHHH!!!! I don't know how I could have made it any clearer!! I just hope they get all this worked out TODAY so the high risk people can get me started tomorrow.
I know none of this anything personal against me. But with the lack of sleep, being in pain and feeling a bit emotional the last 36 or so hours I have the irrational feeling that they don't want me to have my baby. Crazy, I know. I just need a good nights sleep and a doctors appointment to know that things are starting to move forward!!
I feel sorry for Jeromy. I have a feeling when he walks in the door in an hour I will just start to break down and cry.
But, I don't have time for that. I have my final fitting for my partials tonight and we have to run some errands for a few things we need before his Dad's visit tomorrow.
Sorry for whining... I just need to get it out. Can someone please come make me some lunch??? Pizza sounds nice!
