Postal Worker Charged With Gift Card Thefts
BALTIMORE (AP) ―
Federal prosecutors say a Postal Service employee has been charged in a criminal complaint with stealing gift cards from the mail.
Andrew Walsh, 51, of Cockeysville was arrested Tuesday night. Prosecutors say 450 stolen gift cards in his car.
According to an affidavit, postal workers at the distribution center on Fayette Street in Baltimore found numerous greeting cards that had been torn open. Twenty to 100 rifled cards were found almost daily.
Investigators connected some of the stolen and used gift cards to Walsh.

area 15 people had called and report torn open or missing mail in 1 day!, they told me they had a idea who it was, nothing was done to replace my gc's...and that person is still working they just changed his route..
o This person that was stealing was temp as my mail lady was off sick leave, when she returned back on her route, she told me lots of people on her route when she was delivery mail told her what happen, she said she knows the guy that stole our stuff and she was the one to tell me they did not fire him, she said he has been questioned many times in the past and once too many complaints come in on him they change his route..
