Not a sale, but it put a smile on my face just the same...
I had a spare 10 minutes before a doctor's appointment yesterday so I stopped at the Salvation Army. Every once in a while they make up a bag of jewelry leftovers which are good for me for remaking into other jewelry. It's very rare that they do this though (I've found one bag out of maybe 15 visits).
Much to my surprise, they had a heavy plastic bag filled with jewelry. I swooped it up without hardly even looking in it - even if the jewelry isn't anything great, I can almost always reuse the beeds and clasps, etc.
Well, I got home and dumped out the bag to find about 50 pairs of vintage Monet, Trifari, & Givenchy earrings! I even found a 14k wedding band! Wow, it was like being a kid in a candy store! Since I ebay, I hope to make back at least 10 to 20 times what I paid for them if not more. That was a nice treat!

Most of the earrings are solid metal with like an enameled coloring, so there's nothing to recycle on them anyways (at least for what I do). That's okay with me, easier money just reselling them like they are rather than trying to make something new out of them :)
