Check your account balances.
I've been fighting with the rewards people for 2 weeks because they counted coupons against us and my rewards balance is negative!!!!!
An example of what they did...
I purchased Suave Deodorant for $1.99
I had a $1.25 coupon, doubled amount was $.74
Here is how my account refects that my purchase
Purchase price $1.25 (Rewards earned $.01)
Coupon $1.25 (rewards earned -$.01)
Coupon $.74 (Rewards earned -$.01)
That means for an item I got for free they say I earned a negative reward...when it should say $0!
Here is my math...
Purchase price $1.99 (Rewards earned $.02)
Coupon $1.25 (rewards earned -$.01)
Coupon $.75 (Rewards earned -$.01)
Because they counted the purchase price wrong at $1.25, which is not correct...had the purchase price been correct at $1.99 then the total rewards earned would have been $0 which is correct.
All my purchase are this way...the amount of the "purchase price" they show is the amount paid minus what the double coupon amount was...and that is an incorrect way of posting the rewards.
So check yours and complain if you see the same thing. I need more folks behind me...as they think I'm an idiot because "computers are correct". And I've tried 3 times to explain they are not! I've now gotten to the 2nd highest customer service supervisor and I'm still trying to explain how the mistake is calculated....I should not be in any negative earning amount even if I did get all my items free I should have a zero rewards total...not a negative one!
No matter how small the amount it's still worth it for everyone and I'm gonna keep on my "fight" but need others to check their accounts and help me out.

So I get a call back and basically...tough noogies. As a "one time" nice jesture they are going to zero out my account balance...which is still incorrect but at least it's not negative.
My opinion of Kmart remains unchanged!
So far this year I've filed a complaint with the Store Manager over incorrect prices and them unwilling to charge me what the shelf sticker states (They wouldn't so they kept their items and I made no purchase.) I've filed a complaint with the Pharmacy Manager over an RX GC which was issued in an amount that was incorrect (this one I won, they issued the remainder in a 2nd gift card I picked up the next day) and now with the Shop Your Way Rewards holding coupons against us...what's left? Kmart closing...might be a good thing. They closed the grocery part of one store here...now they just need to close the rest of the stores....I'm not sure who is worse...WM or KM!

I called to ask why I was going negative without returning anything, and the gal on the phone really didn't know. She agreed that it didn't look right. She went to talk to her supervisor who assured her that the computer was right. Yeah, whatever.
I actually went negative before that b/c I returned some items that had (unknown to me) gotten me a $5 credit. (It was still WAY cheaper for me to buy those items at WM on clearance, BTW.) After the return, I bought some other stuff and used my balance to help pay. Thought any adjustments would have been made immediately at the point of my return transaction, so figured I was safe. Nope, so I spent $$ I didn't actually have and went $5.30 negative. Guess that one worked out well for me, especially since I don't really shop at Kmart much.
