we were coming back from his psych appt and this woman pulled in front of me on a long empty stretch coming downhill toward our street. Raleigh is nice and tree lined and mellow until rush hour so I didn't give it a thought. At the light at our corner as it turned red she stopped and started out around the corner (we have right turn on red but you have to come to a stop first) and I followed right behind her. I can only thank God I was not as tired as I normally am, and slammed on the breaks, Dashi was in his car seat with the belt on another thanks to God, as he normally is but I had to TELL him today.
Anyhoo my old tires slid and made that sound, that errrrrr you hear at accidents? We barely touched her and I mean kissed her, and again I thank God.
She came over to me and said she had to call someone and asked if I had insurance. I saw nothing on her car, there was no 'boom' or any noise of contact so I said call whomever you need to, I will wait here LOL... then I said real loud to Dashi as she walked away... WHERE IS MY CAMERA? I had this scam pulled on me once where a lady pulled into me as I was backing out and they were SO hurt that my insurance cost thousands and my rate was up for FIVE YEARS because she had NO insurance and all her stuff went on me even though the cars were not damaged, and Glennie had the same thing happen in Florida, there was no car damage but the person had $70.000 in bills and that time they blamed him too, crooks all of them. I asked them if there was no corresponding car damage how in the world would they pay out this kind of money? Because they are stupid IMHO.
anyways, back to today, she said her baby was in the back... and I was thinking so what is Dashi? Chopped liver? and then she wandered back over and said oh, there is no damage, I can just go... I bet she didn't know I had a camera HA HA and I know to take photos of the lights, the street for skid marks and HER CAR and weather conditions... why would she start to go and stop, she forgot this is a right turn on red state in a split second? Or did she count on getting a dummy that didn't know better? I mystery shop so my camera is always nearby and there is always my phone camera... lol I wasn't giving out my information ever again unless a cop came and told me to do it... This is probably the one time I would have LOVED to see a cop LOL 1|1|I am so glad you and Dashi are okay.
