I had a box of Tuna Helper Creamy Broccoli here that my son wanted me to fix, but no can/pouch of tuna, so I improvised & used a can of Tyson chunk white chicken. Cooked up some broccoli florets, drained & tossed them in to boot. I have to say it was rather yummy! :) And for dessert, homemade apple pie that my mom sent home w/me today, w/a dollup of vanilla ice cream. Double yum! :)
For lunch we had chicken noodle soup w/pnut butter sandwiches. It sure hit the spot on this chilly, blustery day. Felt like winter out there again cuz it was only 28° here this morning & only topped out at about 45° w/the sun this afternoon. Since it had also been raining some last night, I even had ICE on my deck this morning. Burrrr!

I found a quick & easy way to cheat for strawberry shortcake w/out having to buy the shortcake (which usually seems to be on the dry side) & cool whip topping. I buy Twinkies & pour the strawberries over them. You get your strawberries & soft/moist shortcake w/the creamy white filling. Oooo la la! LOL
My mom & I pick our own strawberries every summer & then freeze most of them so we can have fresh strawberries year 'round. Just to thaw out...
I also make my own strawberry/banana smoothies using fresh strawberries, bananas, a couple scoops of vanilla ice cream, 2 C. of milk & a 1/4 tsp. of vanilla, all mixed in the blender. Oh man, does that ever hit the spot on a warm spring/summer day! :)

Will couldn't have any solid foods today, he's on a liquid diet, cause his colonoscopy is tommorrow morning. Plus he had to drink this huge jug of stuff, you mix water with it and he had to drink it today, it cleans him out for tommorrow. Cheyenne and I had Top Ramen and I mixed peas in mine YUM. Matthew wanted sandwiches and chips :)
