Ok haley is wanting a blackberry curve cellphone..I think she's lost her mind...WHY do these teenagers have these?
2 of her friends have them...and I think it's crazy..I have the same simple flip phone that I've had for 6 years.
She has the rumor 2 or something like that...unlimited text, 500 minutes, she never calls anyone..always texts..and now she

I told her that when she can keep up with paying for one, we will talk about it.

Ok first off, not sure who has what for service BUT... LOL Down here we have a service called PagePlus. Its a prepaid service so theres no contract and no credit check. You can buy phones from them or if you have an old Alltel or Verizon phone (cant be active with either) you can activate it on their network (no other carriers tho, their not compatible). Anyway, its $39.95 +tax a month, you get unlimted talk, unlimited text & 20mb of data for picture messaging or internet if the phone is capable and they work nation wide. Unfortunately there are a few phones that arent allowed, the blackberry being one of them. My whole family uses this service (so for 3 of us if DH was home right now costs us $129.45 each month). Thats almost as much as we were payin before with AT&T for only 2 lines and a limited number of minuntes & texts. Oh, I almost forgot, they run off the Verizon & Alltel towers so you get great coverage. *shew* Ok Im done, just wanted to share a great deal for cell phone usage in case anyone wanted to know. LOL

My son does have a blackberry but he only got it because when our contract was up with Sprint, best buy was having a sale on there phones and we went there and they had the blackberry for free if you signed a new contract with Sprint so thats why he has it.
I have to admit my son is a little spoiled or probably alot but I know what its like not to have what other kids have and yes all kids need to be taught responsibility and yes i give my son more then i probably should but he is the only child and i know it shouldnt matter what other kids have but kids are mean and like i said i no what its like not to have what other kids have and i dont want my son to have to feel that.
