So this seller has some cute things and I see in every auction she has that she does combined shipping, regular price for the first & 20% off for any others. So I thought, cool and bid and won 3 of her auctions. I get your standard You won the auction email and then an email with an invoice, with the whole total for all three auctions. So I send a request for a new total with the combined shipping and go to bed (it was late). I get up this morning and after taking DD to school log on to see how much it is. Its the original shipping with a request to let her know what color item I wanted for auction #1. So I send another request for a combined shipping invoice with my choice of color. Less than an hour later I get another invoice with the original shipping cost. So I got mad, went ahead a paid it then sent her this message around 9:30 this morning:
For the lacey set red would be fine. I contacted you twice for an invoice because I was asking for the discounted shipping that you posted in all 3 auctions that you offered. I had also put in the comments section of the second invoice request the color I would like.
I JUST got a reply a few minutes ago and this is what she had to say:
Sorry. But I shipped the items out today for you. Please let me know if you have anyother questions.
If I had known she wouldnt do the combined shipping discount then I wouldnt have bid on all 3 of her items, cause they werent all that cute but the best I could find at the time. Beside, since she flat out states in each auction she discounts by 20%, shouldnt she had done that prior to sending her first invoice?? Thats just poor customer service. Im just wondering if I should leave a neutral feedback, or a negative like I want to. Of course I have to wait to get the items, to make sure they are right but still.

Unforunately, I knew that going in but I also thought she would do the reduced shipping. Its not much, like a dollor something, but its still the whole principal of it. I bought some lingirie items for when DH comes home, each item was .99 cents each, shipping for one was 5.99 and for the other two 2.99 each. So for something that cost 2.97 I paid 11.97 to have it shipped, when Im sure it wont cost even half that amount.
I know I need to wait for the items to arrive to see their condition (as all are supposed to be new) and I also want to see just how much it cost her to ship. Im already trying to form her feedback in my mind. Something like "Beware! Seller does NOT combine shipping, even after requesting as stated in auction. Items as described (hopefully)." lol

There is more to it than shipping. Box, tissue, bubble wrap, tape, etc. is needed. Items finally arrive today. They shipped from Florida to Alabama, I paid for priority shipping, all $11.97 worth of it, for them to send it in a tiny little shipping grayish envelope with it costing them $2.70 to ship, including D/C. I was told it shipped on the 6th, it didnt ship till the 8th. So not only does the seller lie about combining shipping, they also lie about the day it was shipped and the shipping method. On top of it, one item size was "one size" that I cant even get up past my knees! Oh, I am contacting the seller right now to see what they have to say but Im pretty sure Im leaving negative feedback for the first time that I can remember since joining Ebay.
Why did I pay for it even knowing she wasnt doin the discounted shipping? Honestly not sure. I have this thing where I want to pay right away, plus she had made me mad and I was like bump it and payed.

I paid for priority but it looks like it was only parcel post, there is no indications whatsoever that this package was sent via priority. Also, waiting to see what they will say, if anything. I've never had to file will PP regarding a bad ebay transaction, is it the same as when u buy from someone not on ebay and they dont follow through?? Thank you everyone! You'll have to return the item and pay the postage to do so. If you decide to return it, make sure you use delivery confirmation. If you don't use D.C., and she's not honest, she can just claim she didn't get the item back and then not have to refund you.
Before you file, you might want to email her again and tell her you're planning on filing with ebay and that your feedback (and DSR's or "stars") of course will have to reflect the difficulties you've encountered with her - not honoring her combined shipping, overcharging for shipping, misrepresenting the item, etc. A seller's DSR's/stars are very important to them (their star rating affects search standing and seller discounts), so that may be enough to galvanize her into offering a partial refund for the shipping and the item you're not happy with (so you won't have to lose out even more by paying to return the item to her).
I'm afraid you might be out of luck with the postage (both the combined shipping that she didn't honor and the fact that she overcharged you) unless she gives you a refund on her own. You might be able to report her auction for excessive shipping, but I don't think ebay does much about that. On the one hand, they don't like sellers that overcharge on shipping because they lose out on fees when it happens, but on the other hand, they get probably thousands of complaints daily about these things and they don't have the staff to wade through them.

I politely declined, saying I gave it to a friend but I didnt. I attempted to MAKE it fit and kinda stretched it out a bit. My bad I know but I didnt think I would hear back. I did ask if they could refund the discounted amount I was suppose to get so I will see what they have to say. Thank you to everyone!!
