This is so sad...and to be such a big part of a coal miners family, it really hurts me. Most of my family have been coal miners,
my grandpaps, my dad, my uncles, my brother, and Travis. Travis worked at the coal mines last year, and my nephew still works
at the mines. Travis still wants to go back...it's a good paying job..but it is so risky...and I just don't think it's worth it. I sure
feel for all of the families touched by this. It's just really sad. : (

few yrs the mines my brother worked in shut down......and although i hated for him to be out of a job...it was a relief to know he wasnt in the mines....
after being laid off...for months on end...he found another job......was laid off and then called back a few times on that job.......and then another mines
opened and he went to work at it.........and he really didnt want to go back......but jobs around here are few and far between......so he figured he better jump on it......
